Girl Power: Asos Peplum Hem Skirt

Hi guys!
So this post was totally random. I had planned what my next few posts were going to be. I even have the pictures. But I couldn't help myself when I got hold of this skirt. I have only just noticed I have a huge obsession with skirts! All my posts are heavily skirt-inspired (can't actually think of any way to explain it). I'm not quite sure where this addiction has come from. Maybe its because of my Tuesday evenings after work. My journey home from work are not pleasant! I detest travelling during rush hour! To make it worse, I take the busiest lines on the London underground! However my Tuesday evenings are slightly better as I pick up a copy of the Stylist magazine on my way home.  Their last couple of issues have been emphasizing feminism, female power, girl power; you name it. Really inspiring and I've never felt so empowered, so in love with the fact that I'm a woman like I do now. Women are taking over the world boys, (Beyonce warned you!). Even my work wardrobe consists of an ample collection of skirts (I see a work wear post coming soon). It's quite intriguing really, the last two years I have been in love with trousers, tailored trousers - those that made me feel like I'm about to take on the world. However my new found love for skirts is rather profound. I don't see myself changing that. Whether it maybe the midi skirt, pencil skirt, skater skirt; skirt skirt skirts. I love being a girl.

Outdoor(sy) Casual: Must Haves!

So after trials and tribulations, I am finally ready to go to Bristol, have a little time away from London and truly get white girl wasted with my girl. This is good bye to excessive use of anything that could hinder my focus on my academic goals and work. Seeing as soon as I get back from Bristol I be will starting my short course in Politics of Identity at Birkbeck Uni, I'm also studying Maths seeing as I never listened in high school. May comes soon after and I start training for work soon as training is over its my birthday. I'll be 21!! Woop woop! Fun times! Every one loves a busy schedule right?- right!? *exhales* I have a whole load  more planned after but not until all these small things work out.

I'm going to Bristol for a BBQ and '4/20' so I have to dress accordingly, and there are few things a lass just has to have. Ill be showing you what I consider to be vital things one needs when going away- in this case to a casual/outdoorsy event- but a bitch gotta stay cute(in the cheapest way possible- for now of course). After all Its a BBQ  things could get messy!

Summer Pastels!

Pastels of course are on trend this season. I looked at Philip Lim's ss12 collection and got a tad bit inspired so I looked at high street shops. An affordable trend. To make pastels work you need to mix the colours a bit coz if you like colours like me you will feel dull lol..
